PEX and PERT Pipes

PEX and PERT pipes are types of plastic pipes commonly used in water plumbing systems. Both are preferred materials in modern installations due to their many advantages.

PEX Pipes

PEX stands for Cross-Linked Polyethylene. PEX pipes are durable and flexible pipes produced by chemically cross-linking polyethylene. The advantages of PEX pipes include:

PERT Pipes

PERT stands for Polyethylene of Raised Temperature Resistance. PERT pipes are a type of polyethylene designed to withstand higher temperatures, commonly used in underfloor heating systems. The advantages of PERT pipes include:

  • High temperature resistance: Suitable for applications like underfloor heating where elevated temperatures are present.
  • Flexibility: Like PEX pipes, PERT pipes are flexible and can be easily bent and routed.
